Purpose of This Policy
This waiver outlines the health-related risks and responsibilities associated with travel during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as any future public health events.
By booking with Meraki Travels LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), travelers acknowledge that travel may involve certain health and safety risks beyond the agency’s control.
Traveler Responsibility
All travelers are responsible for:
- Understanding and complying with all travel health requirements, including testing, vaccination, and documentation mandates imposed by destinations, airlines, or suppliers.
- Monitoring travel advisories and restrictions from government and health authorities prior to and during travel.
- Ensuring they are medically and physically fit for travel.
Failure to comply with entry requirements or testing mandates does not qualify for a refund, credit, or compensation from Meraki Travels LLC.
Health Risks & Assumption of Risk
Travel during or following the COVID-19 pandemic, or during any public health crisis, carries inherent risks that cannot be eliminated.
By booking travel services through Meraki Travels LLC, you voluntarily assume all risks related to:
- Exposure to COVID-19 or other communicable diseases
- Quarantine or isolation requirements
- Travel delays or cancellations due to illness or governmental actions
- Changes in health policies or entry requirements at your destination
Meraki Travels LLC cannot guarantee an environment free of contagion or illness and assumes no liability for exposure or resulting consequences.
Supplier & Government Regulations
Each airline, cruise line, hotel, or tour operator may enforce its own health and safety protocols, including vaccination, masking, or testing requirements.
Government regulations may also change at any time without notice.
Travelers are responsible for staying informed and complying with all regulations. Meraki Travels LLC is not responsible for costs or inconveniences resulting from denied boarding, denied entry, or required quarantine due to noncompliance.
No Refund Policy
Meraki Travels LLC maintains a strict no-refund policy for all travel bookings.
If a trip must be modified, canceled, or postponed due to COVID-19 or related health restrictions, all payments remain non-refundable.
Refunds or future credits, if available, will be determined solely by the travel supplier’s policies.
Medical & Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes:
- Trip cancellation or interruption coverage
- Emergency medical and evacuation coverage
- Coverage for COVID-19 or pandemic-related disruptions
Insurance is the traveler’s sole means of protection against potential financial loss due to illness, testing requirements, or quarantine delays.
Liability Waiver
By booking with Meraki Travels LLC, travelers agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Meraki Travels LLC, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Illness, injury, or death related to communicable diseases
- Quarantine, testing, or denial of travel services
- Trip interruptions, cancellations, or governmental restrictions
This waiver applies to all bookings made through Meraki Travels LLC, whether directly or through an affiliated travel supplier.
Acknowledgment
Submitting payment or confirming a booking with Meraki Travels LLC constitutes acknowledgment that you:
1. Understand the inherent risks of travel during or following a pandemic.
2. Accept all financial responsibility for related costs or disruptions.
3. Agree not to hold Meraki Travels LLC liable for illness, injury, or losses arising from COVID-19 or other health-related events.
